I was in a Beastie Boys Video Clip today

My day today was a little different. It started quite interestingly, but as the day progressed it became more and more tedious.
A few days ago I was asked by a mate if I was interested in being in a Beastie Boys video clip. They were going for a sixties look and wanted people in the background who fitted that look. Also, they were interested in including scooters in the filming.
So anyway, six of us rode out on four scooters to a home in an inner western suburb owned by some radio personality (think Nova). The house was a real LA sixties style house (think Peter Sellers, Party) with accompanying decor.
I was suited up, therefore avoiding having to visit the wardrobe department like many did. I was dressed in standard mod/skinhead suit and shirt, a bit late for what they were going for, but when Adam from the Beastie Boys suggested I shave off my chops and put on a wig, I agreed and then avoided everyone who would control this. No way was I losing the sideburns. I tried a wig on, but luckily remembered I had brought my porkpie hat. Look out then for the skinhead, not really fitting in, in an upcoming Beastie Boys video!
Anyway, what we had to do was dance in the background as things happened with the band. Pretty easy stuff - early on I was in shot all the time, but as the day went on it became tedious. The Beastie Boys themselves were really nice guys, as were the crew, but some of the other extras were a bit pretentious, and I was thankful when I got out of there.
I will elaborate on this tale more in the future, but for now I am pleased to say, my scooter and I will be in a Beastie Boys clip. Funny thing is, I don't know much of their stuff!
