Cover songs

I am having a band meeting on Friday to discuss possible covers we can do with the band.
I've got a few ideas, with a combination of covers of reggae songs and soul songs.
The first we are working on is Smokey Robinson's "Tracks of My Tears". This is almost definitely going ahead. Very happy about this.
The other soul song I want to do is "It's Alright" by Curtis Mayfield." Should convert easily enough to rocksteady or reggae. I did want to do "People Get Ready" by the great man, but it is too much about God me thinks.
In terms of reggae covers, I want to do:
The Pioneers - Reggae Fever. Skinhead reggae styles. Love this tune.
Prince Buster - Why Won't You Answer to your name. Had others in mind from the Prince, but the Ska Vendors do them.
Alton Ellis - Girl I've Got a Date - one of my favourite songs of all time.
There are heaps of others, including some more obscure ones, which I find are often good, but it's a good start I reckon.
