Musings from last night

Headed along to Health Club at the Flinders in Surry Hills for a night of "Island Sounds". I don't normally venture to Surry Hills to go out, but as the Dynamite boys were on the decks it couldn't be passed up.
Got there pleasantly toasted with a few beers at the Lansdowne for Rachel's Birthday. Happy Birthday Rachel! Was happy to find the sounds were top of the line and we soon were on the dancefloor. Not your usual reggae crowd by any means, but they were right into it.
The boys played a mix of early ska and reggae with some rockabilly and soul to good effect. The atmosphere was decent until a bit later when there was close to a scuffle, but all in all a good night and I'll say, follow the Dynamite boys, they play the top sounds.
