Lawless Street Sydney Reggae Radio
September 26th 2006 08:18
Radio is a great thing. Personally I am a little surprised it has passed the test of time with all the glitz and glamour that holds many people's attention these days, but I am glad that it has.
As it will on in a couple of days time, I thought a perfect time to tell you about Lawless Street so you can organise yourself to get hold of a radio, tune it in and listen. 88.5 FM 2RRR is the frequency and the station. It is local radio and should be supported.
The time. Thursdays, 4-6 pm.
The music is Jamaican which means reggae, but also some ska, dancehall, mento etc. A little bit of everything.
Also listen in 8 - 10 am Fridays for Bass Culture. Usually hosted by Jason, but as he is in Spain, at the moment, hosted by the Lawless St crew.
To get an idea what is being played on the show, head over to: http://lawless-street.blogspot.com/ where you'll find some playlists that might tickle your fancy and if you are in Sydney town, listen in!
