Rastawookie Album launch
April 5th 2007 06:53
I haven't seen Rastawookie for a couple of years now, which is strange in a way considering I used to see them all the time. But life is like that isn't it. They've changed their musical direction a little and I've maintained more of an interest in the original ska sound.
They still remain popular though and they have an album coming out very soon. The album is called Perfectly Ordinary and the launch for it will be on Saturday April 21st @ the metro.
For those not familiar with the band, I would describe them as world music, rather than strictly reggae, because though they do take on Jamaican influences, they also take on South American sounds.
The album is a long time coming and follows an EP in 2005. No doubt it isn't easy trying to get as many musos as they have in the band, together to record a full length.
Tickets are $18 from moshtix.com.au.
For more info check their myspace.
