Reggae and ska news
August 25th 2006 07:46
I am so out of touch. The reggae world goes on, but I am just letting it pas over me as I concentrate on prac teaching.
Here is some news that I have quickly collected.
The Strange Tenants are celebrating 25 years this year and return to Sydney to promote their 4 CD back this October.
Bands that play rock with horns are still not ska.
Moon Ska Europe is about to change its name to Moon Ska World. Globalisation girls and boys.
A Swiss band with the awful name of Skaladdin are touring Australia. No-one over here has heard of them and they still haven't caught on that ska-punk has been done to death. DEATH - no more. Their tour clashes with the Beat. Good luck guys. They are playing with a band from Brisbane with an equally bad name - Skamikaze. How original.
Mutiny play in Sydney tonight @ the Empire. This band is from Melbourne and play the best folk punk you are likely to see from an Aussie band. This is where I am going tonight. Until next time...
