The Beat final reminder

The Beat are currently playing in Brisbane and will be in Newcastle tomorrow night and then they will be in Sydney Friday night.
Get your tickets asap. I was speaking to a fair few people today that are coming so it looks like it will be big. We're (The Signals) opening first and are selling CDs of 2 tracks for 2 bucks.
Backy Skank will no doubt please and then there is the headline act all the way from the UK. Lots of dancing and drinking I would say. Cannot wait.

The sound at The Zoo for The Beat was great when I briefly checked out the mixing desk/middle of the room position. It was terrible when I was further back in the room on the side, which is a venue thing, not so much related to the mixing skills.
Positives : All the old songs played, except Two Swords
No real negatives other than the gig was expensive at $48. If it had been priced at $35 then the audience would have been bigger than the 200 or so.
Hopefully we'll see The Beat again. Throw Saxa a First Class Ticket though!
Anyway, Stand Down Margaret turned into George and Tony, only John wasn't name checked here!
