U2, Kylie and Pearl Jam have not caught everyone's imagination

When I am not listening to reggae music, I fulfil my interest in politics and social commentary listening to ABC 702 Sydney. If I am home all day, there's a chance I will listen to it for three quarters of the day.
Of course, there are going to be times when I don't like what is covered. Today it is talk of the U2, Kylie and Pearl Jam (PJ just briefly) concerts. I really don't think those people who go to one gig a year should be considered in discussion about their night out. They are over produced shitty stadium or arena gigs and despite them drawing big crowds, there are a huge amount of more people seeing other live music events on that night.
The acts also don't need any more hype or publicity than they already get (and pay for) by having them promoted on the national broadcaster. Presenters aren't meant to mention or plug commercial companies, but one must ask if Kylie and U2 are corporations in themselves.
That's nearly my spiel for today, except to say surely "Trey" isn't a name but a misspelling of something you use to carry things on?

the worst thing @ pj was eddie had his 'peace' spiel, which was fine by me, i think hes a pretty soulful & meaningful man.. but everyone was cheering & egging him on like they cared as much as him... & u just know that most of em prob voted in howard...... sorry to judge
so much music is just so souless these days. this morning fucking kylie & bono make the news because he makes a surprise appearance at her concert... woop-de-fucking-doo. its depressing to think thats whats really entertaining the masses these days. id listen to 702 anytime over the ridiculous charades of commercial radio
